Singular Computing develops and licenses hardware and software technologies
for high performance energy efficient computing, both large scale and embedded.
The technologies, based on approximate computing, are general purpose.
They support deep learning, other sorts of AI, and non-AI tasks.
Approximate machines yield the same quality results as modern GPUs,
but with 30-50x better compute/watt.
Public information on the technology is available here:
The company was founded by Joseph Bates, previously professor
and scientist at MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, and Johns Hopkins:
Singular is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
